Color Psychology

The web article, Color Psychology: The Emotional Effects of Colors, shows that colors can be

associated with many different things that we interact with in life such as our emotions.  Colors play a

big part in how your mental state of mind and your emotions react to the environment around you.

Many places can seem more relaxing to you and other places can seem more irritating.  The color of the

space around you trigger these emotions.

The article reference can be found here: Color Psychology: The Emotional Effects of Colors.

In the article "How Color Affects Marketing" the writer, Channa Leichtling, shows us that

colors are eerywhere in the world and we see them every time we open our eyes.  Out of all five of our

senses, we use our eyesight the most.  Our eyes perceive over 10 million colors throughout our lifetime.

Channa tells us that our emotions a lot of the time are triggered by colors that we see.  This affects the

way that many people feel about certain places.

Conserve Water PSA Poster

My topic was about the importance of conserving fresh water. Water today is one of the most important aspects of life. Without it we can not survive. This is why water is very influential for everything that we do because we can not function without it.

I learned that only 1% of the water on earth today is fresh water that we can drink. Most of the earth's water is salt water and is not healthy for us to drink. Every day, thousands of gallons of water are wasted from leaving water faucets on and taking long showers. We can conserve water more easily if we turn this items off quicker.

The interesting facts that I used from the website can be found here. These facts include that freshwater makes up a very small fraction of all water on the planet. While nearly 70 percent of the world is covered by water, only 2.5 percent of it is fresh. The rest is saline and ocean-based. Even then, just 1 percent of our freshwater is easily accessible, with much of it trapped in glaciers and snowfields.

My rough sketches and ideas are here...

My finished PSA informs and educates the viewer by showing them the importance of water and how scarce it is becoming. This is an influence to everyone so that we can save water in order to save life.
